Welcome to the Enzymes, Inc. product page! We offer three
lines of enzyme-based nutritional supplements to health care practitioners,
as well as three lines for health conscious consumers.
All digestive enzyme supplements and systemic enzyme supplements from
Enzymes, Inc. contain only vegetarian enzyme supplements grown from Aspergillus
oryzae microbial, fungal cultures. Vegetarian enzyme supplements are far
superior to animal or plant enzymes in many ways.
The most notable distinction between our vegetarian enzymes and the
plant enzymes, -bromelain (from the pineapple) and papain (from the papaya)
- is the limited digestive activity of the plant enzymes. Both bromelain
and papain focus entirely on protein-digestion, offering no assistance
with carbohydrate, fat and fiber. In addition, commercially-grown pineapple
and papaya are generally exposed to environmental contamination, including
pesticides, preservatives and growth-enhancers.
Also,
vegetarian enzymes are optimally active through a wide range of pH conditions
in the body. Papain and bromelain are fully activated at temperatures
only at substantially higher pH levels.
In addition to plant enzymes, animal enzymes (usually derived from the
pancreatic tissue of pigs) pale in comparison to vegetarian enzyme supplements
from Enzymes, Inc.
Vegetarian enzyme supplements can provide greater digestive or systemic
activity per capsule or tablet than animal enzyme supplements. Enzymes,
Inc. vegetarian enzymes are more concentrated than animal enzymes, so
more activity is included in each capsule or tablet. This results in fewer
capsules taken at one time.
As in plant enzymes, animal enzymes function only in a limited “window”
of pH temperatures of the body. For example, the enzyme pepsin only functions
in the high acidity of the lower stomach, and pancreatin, trypsin and
chymotrypsin can only digest food in the alkaline pH of the intestines
– far too late in the digestive process to obtain optimal benefit from
supplementation.
Also, vegetarian enzymes are cultivated in a controlled environment,
free of contaminants. Animal enzymes are commercially obtained from slaughterhouse
animals, usually pigs, which may have received steroids, antibiotics,
etc. or have been fed pesticide-laced, genetically altered feed.
When choosing an enzyme supplement for yourself or a patient, select
superior quality, broad-spectrum, vegetarian enzyme supplements from one
of the Enzymes, Inc. product lines. |
